SIM Replacement

A customer who wished to do a sim swap will write a letter which will be brought to a Safaricom Retail Centre or email advantage@safaricom.co.ke.

Copy of national ID or passport, a diplomatic staff ID issued at the foreign affairs ministry is recognized identification in the vetting process.

Corporate customers will require a letter on company letter head, signed and stamped by the contact person or senior authority in the organization

NB:

SIM swap from dealers on behalf of a customer must be accompanied by letter of request from the customer. This can be send via E-mail to Safaricom Advantage.

If the requestor is acting on behalf of another subscriber then the subscriber should have a letter from the owner instructing Safaricom to replace the SIM card.

The letter should include a copy of the owners ID together with a copy of the ID of the sent party
