Like an answering machine, it takes your calls when the network is busy, not answered, is off or there is no network coverage. A message is stored and you retrieve it at the next available moment.

The service is offered to all Safaricom customers for FREE. Voicemail allows for calls to be diverted directly to your Safaricom mailbox.
To Activate your Voicemail

* When you are unable to answer the call.
Key in * 61 * 0722122 #, and then press OK

To de-activate this divert
Key in # # 61 #, and then press OK
* When your phone is out of coverage or switched off,
Key in * * 62 * 0722122 #, and then press OK

To de-activate this divert
Key in # # 62 #, and then press OK
* When your line is busy and are unable to take the call,
Key in * *67 *, and then press OK

To de-activate this divert
Key in # # 67 #, and then press OK

How to retrieve your Voicemail

To retrieve messages from your voicemail, simply dial 111.
To activate all diverts
